Our Story
It started with a box of VHS tapes at an estate sale. Horror films, action movies, oddball comedies—titles that had never made it to DVD, let alone streaming. Films that existed only on magnetic tape, slowly degrading in basements and storage units across the country.
We saw a problem: collectors wanted these films on VHS, but the only options were worn rental copies or questionable bootlegs. Neither respected the films or their creators. There had to be a better way.
Nostalgia Maxxer Studios was born from the idea that official, high-quality VHS releases could exist in the modern era. We started cold-calling distributors, negotiating licenses, and figuring out how to manufacture tapes that met our standards. It wasn't easy, but the response from collectors told us we were onto something.
Today, we work with rightsholders around the world to bring their catalogs to VHS collectors. Every release is officially licensed, professionally duplicated, and packaged with the care these films deserve. We're not just selling tapes—we're preserving cinema history.
